Our Purpose, Vision & Mission Statement

Our Purpose as a church of the Lord Jesus Christ is to:

1. Glorify God and enjoy Him in worship. (Deuteronomy 5:12-15; Ecclesiastes 12:13; 1 Corinthians 10:31; Colossians 3:16; Revelation 5:9-14)
2. Proclaim clearly the gospel of Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:3,4)
3. Teach the whole counsel of God as found in the Old and New Testaments in order to encourage spiritual growth in every believer. (Colossians 1:28,29; Hebrews 10:24,25)
4. Maintain the unity of the Spirit of God in fellowship with one another. (Ephesians 4:3)
5. Work for unity and cooperation with all believers. (Ephesians 4:3)
6. Disciple all nations, beginning at home and reaching around the world. (Matthew 28:19, Acts 1:8)
7. Plant other churches committed to the same purpose, vision and mission.

Our Vision in fulfilling this purpose as a church of the Lord Jesus Christ is to: produce disciple -making followers of the Lord Jesus Christ who will be devoted to loving God, one another and the world.

Our Mission in fulfilling this purpose as a church of the Lord Jesus Christ is to: help fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) in Visalia and around the world, giving individuals the opportunity to respond to the salvation message of Jesus Christ, to be discipled in their Christian faith, and to be trained to reach others with the gospel.
